The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a reminder for the regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions. All institutions have been requested by UGC to take the required actions for its implementation, including setting up a monitoring system. The Commission also warned that any institution that does not act in compliance with these regulations, does not take appropriate action to prevent ragging, or does not appropriately punish those who commit acts of ragging will face punitive action from the UGC.
