Teach for India on Tuesday announced that the final deadline for their fellowship programme is March 19. The two-year, full-time Teach for India fellowship is offered. By enrolling their peers in schools in underprivileged communities, it seeks to end educational inequity.
To apply for the fellowship, the candidate must be a citizen of India or an overseas citizen of India (OCI). They should have a bachelor’s degree by June or July 2023 and must be fluent in English.
It is not necessary for the fellows to have teaching experience. The organisation will subject them to intensive training. Fellows of Teach for India hold full-time teaching positions. Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata are where they conduct business. If the fellows move away from their hometown for the fellowship, they would get a salary of Rs 23,043 a month in addition to a housing allowance.
The application process is divided into three stages: a phone interview, an assessment centre, and an online test. Candidates must present their prior experiences and reasons for applying to the fellowship in the first round. A 30-minute phone interview will serve as the second stage, during which they will answer inquiries related to their application form. Also, candidates will learn more about the programme and fellowship at the final stage, as well as have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills. In this round, there will be role-playing exercises and training simulations.
