The University College London (UCL) on November 21 launched a new scholarship scheme to enable 100 of India’s brightest students to study in the UK at one of the world’s leading universities.
According to the official announcement, 33 scholarships will be awarded to outstanding students who have earned or are on track to earn a first-class degree for the 2024–25 academic year. Over the next two years, 67 more scholarships will be given out.
Plans for UCL’s inaugural Summer School in India, which will be housed at The British School’s New Delhi campus, have also been disclosed. The purpose of this summer school in India is to provide pre-university Indian students with an experience of studying at a top UK university.
From June 10–14, 2024, UCL India Summer School will host its first session. Five eminent UCL professors will teach modules to fifty students in years 10 and 11, who will work in small groups.
