MICA will introduce a new programme on Media Platforms Analytics. The new curriculum aims to give students a comprehensive understanding of audience interaction, media analytics, and how to gather and evaluate data in order to create a media platform. The training will cover three areas: streaming, theater, and television, and it will be led by media experts from Ormax Media.
An official announcement made in this regard stated that “approximately 50 second-year students from the Media and Entertainment Management (MEM) specialisation will be exposed to a 360-degree approach to planning, applicable to multiple functions like content, marketing, revenue, distribution, engagement, and more, across the three domains mentioned above.”
According to Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, President and Director of MICA, “India’s media and entertainment business has evolved at an unprecedented rate. This new degree will provide MEM students with the knowledge and skill sets to promote the industry’s growth. We at MICA constantly collaborate with academic advisers and industry partners to identify gaps and convert them into specialized courses in order to stay ahead of the curve.
The course will teach students how to look at different data sources and extract insights from big databases to come up with a platform strategy using case studies, real-world examples, gamification, and hands-on learning activities.
