Applications are being accepted for the Zanzibar campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), which is a unique partnership between the governments of India, Zanzibar, and IIT Madras. Starting in October 2023, the campus will start offering academic programmes. A four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science and AI or a two-year Master of Technology degree in Data Science and AI are both available to students at the IIT Madras Zanzibar campus. Students from all nationalities, including Indians are eligible to apply.
Different facets of data science and artificial intelligence are covered in the academic programs. Students will have unique options in addition to the extensive curriculum, such as study abroad and semester exchange programs with partner schools of the IITM in the UK and Australia. On the Chennai campus of IIT Madras in India, they can also pursue internships with pertinent businesses and finish their academic requirements. Applications must be filed online by August 5, 2023, which is the deadline. Candidates with a 4-year UG degree in engineering or science are eligible to apply for the master’s program, while Class 12, Form VI, or comparable qualifications are required for the bachelor’s degree. A faculty interview as well as an aptitude test are part of the selection procedure.
