IIM Kozhikode to Set up ‘India-Japan Study and Research Centre’

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode will soon set up a ‘India-Japan Study and Research Centre’. The aim of this centre is to enhance the management education and research competencies in the specific areas of mutual interest between both the countries.

This partnership will bring in student exchange programmes with several Japanese Institutes of higher learning.

Prof. Rajib Shaw of Keio University Japan has been appointed as Visiting Professor for advice to IIMK on Centre activity from Japan.

We developed this study and research center in light of the current interests of both countries in a variety of fields. With the help of this project, research collaborations and student exchange programs with several Japanese institutes of higher learning will be made possible. This initiative will provide for the transfer of information and abilities in the areas of shared interest. Through research, training, and other management development programs, this will help foster an awareness of Japan in India and India in Japan, according to Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIMK.
