IIT-Delhi Launches Advanced Certification in Web 3.0, Social Media and Metaverse Programme

The advanced certification program in Web 3.0, Social Media, and Metaverse has been launched, according to a press release from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. According to a statement from IIT Delhi, the six-month program explores the intersection of these three potent technologies and gives participants invaluable insights into how Web 3.0 is revolutionizing the internet, social media is facilitating social interaction, and the emerging Metaverse is generating digital experiences.

Through practical projects and case studies using tools like WordPress, Google Analytics, PHP, and Orange, candidates will learn about Web 3.0, Social Media, and the Metaverse throughout the process. Additionally, they will study the creation of e-commerce websites, their integration with social media analytics, and digital marketing tools.

The curriculum is specifically created for graduates from all backgrounds who want to work in the Web 3.0, Social Media, or Metaverse domains, as well as for professionals in the software and IT sector who want to learn more about Web 3.0 or the Metaverse and put it to use in their respective industries.

“In today’s competitive market, knowledge of Web 3.0 is essential to understand the future of the internet,” stated Arpan Kumar Kar, Chair Professor & Professor, Department of Management Studies & School of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Delhi. It fosters opportunities for careers in blockchain and decentralized systems, empowers people with data privacy, and promotes innovation. Platforms for social media communication are essential for linking people and businesses. Leveraging them more effectively increases one’s power both personally and professionally. The digital world is about to undergo a transformation because to emerging technologies like VR and AR, which provide immersive Metaverse experiences. People learn about the possibilities for transformative connections and experiences by investigating these technologies.

The learners will get 100 hours of curriculum activities while being mentored by IIT Delhi faculty. The live sessions will be delivered Direct-to-Device (D2D) over the course of six months, including a campus immersion component.

The Web 3.0 module includes topics like Web Analytics and Machine Learning for E-commerce Sales and Revenue Management, Social Media includes Digital Influencer Management and Overview of Artificial Intelligence for Web 3.0, and Metaverse includes Cases on Metaverse Applications in Different Industries and Understanding the Technical Architecture of VR Ecosystems.
