The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) today announced the launch of its new Master of Technology (Research) programme in CSE. Candidates can apply on the official website— iiitd.ac.in/admission/mtech/2023.
Students with a valid GATE score and a BE or BTech in CSE, IT, ECE, EE, or an MCA or an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics are eligible for the program. The program has a two-year duration and is made for pre-doctoral students who want to solve complex computer science and engineering research challenges that are important to business and society.
According to the institute, the program will also teach students how to build, create, and assess innovative systems for novel applications as well as the importance of upholding professional and ethical standards.
The students would receive assistance for up to Rs 50,000 towards the purchase of a laptop and an additional contingency of up to Rs 10,000 annually. Almost all program costs are covered by a scholarship of Rs. 21,000 per month. In line with the institute’s PhD students, they will also get a travel stipend.
The notification stated, “A student of this program will be eligible to convert to a full-time Ph.D. program (usually after one year) with a full tuition fee return. An individual who has completed the program may pursue a sponsored Doctorate from the university without paying the full price.
