The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is inviting aspirants with a valid GATE score in subject code-XH (Humanities & Social Sciences) to apply for the two-year Master’s program offered in Development Studies, English, and Economics starting in July 2023.

Applicants have until April 7 to submit their applications for these two-year master’s programs. The timetable for admission offers will begin on May 20 and the reporting due for admission is July 24, according to the official calendar.
After that, sessions will start on July 31 and the orientation is tentatively set for July 26. However, applicants should keep in mind that the institute may alter the tentative dates listed above.
To eligible for the MA degree, interested students must finish a minimum of 200 credits. There will be 25 seats available for Indian students in each stream, with extra seats available for overseas students. According to the requirements of the institute, students from each stream will have the possibility of upgrading to the PhD program.
