The University of Birmingham launches Chancellor’s Scholarship in India

The University of Birmingham is inviting applications for a new fully-funded scholarship, which also includes accommodation expenses. Interested candidates can apply at the official website – www.birmingham.ac.uk.

Indian students seeking admission to the university’s postgraduate programmes at its campuses in Birmingham and Dubai are eligible for this scholarship programme. The recipient of this scholarship will get a full waiver of all tuition fees as well as housing expenses for the duration of the programme. In addition to the winner, four runner-ups will each receive a $5,000 waiver of their tuition costs.

Candidates must have a valid study offer from the University of Birmingham in order to apply for the scholarship. Selected candidates must submit a three-minute video in the final phase that addresses two important questions:

– What obstacles in your life have you overcame?

– What new idea would you suggest to address a problem that both India and the UK are facing?

The official announcement states that candidates “should have a strong academic record and indicate that they have overcome difficult circumstances. Also, they must have a creative proposal that might address some of the difficult problems that both the UK and India are currently facing.”
