IMA and AIFA (Academy of International Finance & Accounting) signed the agreement for the U.S. CMA.

Academy of International Finance & Accounting

A collaboration agreement has been reached between IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), one of the biggest and most reputable organizations solely dedicated to the promotion of the management accounting profession, and AIFA, a Korean training organization. The IMA’s members and applicants in Korea will have access to learning opportunities thanks to AIFA, which has become the first Silver Approved U.S. CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) Course Provider in Korea.

The partnership between AIFA and IMA is the subsequent development in its mission to advance management accounting in Korea. The collaboration comes at the same time as AIFA’s support of the highly regarded U.S. CMA Exam Review experience in collaboration with Becker Professional Education, an IMA strategic partner and a market leader in providing personalized, tailored learning experiences and AI-driven platforms.

Soonsur Koo, Ph.D., president and CEO of AIFA, stated, “For the first time in Korea, we are thrilled to join with IMA and become a Silver Approved U.S. CMA Course Review Provider.” We are eager to spread the word about the American CMA program and give Korean finance professionals a chance to get a highly regarded management accounting-specific professional certification. Nina Michels-Kim, CMA (U.S.), CSCA, director of partnership relations for Korea and Japan at IMA, said, “Building on AIFA’s proven track record and methodology in training Korean professionals in domestic and international professional certifications, IMA is excited to recognize AIFA as a Silver Approved Course Provider of the U.S. CMA.” This collaboration demonstrates IMA’s continued dedication to providing people with the chance to reskill and upskill in order to future-proof themselves in the cutthroat work world of today.
