Spark Education Group and Everest Education collaborate to bring top-tier online education to Vietnam

Spark Education Group and Everest Education collaborate to bring top-tier online education to Vietnam.

In order to bring top-notch online learning to Vietnam, Spark Education Group (Spark Education), a global innovator and leader in interactive live small-class learning, announced a joint venture with Everest Education (Everest), a leading provider of premium offline and online education services in Vietnam.

The businesses in Spark Education’s portfolio have enrolled more than 500,000 students in their programmes since 2018. Leading investors such as Sequoia, KKR, IDG Capital, GGV Capital, TrustBridge, Carlyle, and others have funded the company. Everest offers Math and English enrichment classes, test preparation, college admissions advice, and private tutoring to kids in grades 1 through 12. This aids Vietnamese students in entering and succeeding in international academic contexts.

Through this partnership, the online operations of Everest and Spark Education will be combined, along with locally adapted course materials for the Vietnamese market. Through a cooperative venture, VISPARK, a math programme based on Singapore Math concepts and taught in Vietnamese, is localised. By combining their respective competitive advantages, Spark Education and Everest are able to provide Vietnamese students with a more cutting-edge educational opportunity.

Everest Education’s CEO, Don Le, explains his goals for the collaboration “The VISPARK curriculum, which includes top-notch animations, interactive courseware, and a tried-and-true technology system that has helped more than 500,000 students worldwide, has received over $100M in research and development from Spark Education. We think that the R&D budget of Spark Education exceeds the sum of investments made by the whole Vietnamese edtech business. Everest receives access to the most captivating learning platform with a proven track record of growing success by working with Spark Education.”
