The Irish Government Has Approved Skills for EnglishTM Language Tests for Study Visas

a global provider of assessment services, cutting-edge technology, and talent management solutions, and the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) today announced that the Irish Government has approved their B1 and B2 Four Facet Skills for EnglishTM language tests for Study Visa purposes. This makes Skills for English one of the fastest-growing high-stakes English examinations, opening openings for test takers, institutions, and its global network of partners. International students who want to pursue an authorised English programme at one of Ireland’s numerous institutions can now take Skills for English: SELT or Skills for English: Global as part of their application, allowing them to work part-time.
SELT stands for Secure English Language Test, which PSI and SQA administer on behalf of the UK government to visa applicants through PSI’s network of test centres in 120 countries. This news corresponds with the release of PSI’s latest English language test, Skills for English: Global. Based on the SELT test, Skills for English: Global is designed for academic straight admission and domestic use. It is provided through the same test centre network or through Online Proctoring, which allows tests to be done in the comfort of the test taker’s own home.
