HONG KONG, May 13, 2022 — Yew Chung Yew Wah (YCYW) Education Network’s ‘Planet Leadership Series’ is a groundbreaking thinking leadership programme. The series is available to both YCYW Education Network members and online participants from across the world, giving an opportunity for all parents and students to engage in cutting-edge topics of the modern day. The programme strives to enlighten the community and highlight the path to a brighter future by bringing great leaders from many professions to share their perspectives and stories through speeches, interviews, and roundtable discussions.

YCYW has long been devoted to science and technology, and is known for its innovative use of educational technology to break down barriers and promote effective learning. The second session of the ‘Planet Leadership Series’ is centred on the theme ‘The future is at your doorstep: Human vs Technology,’ in keeping with YCYW’s commitment to science and technology. It looked at the advantages and disadvantages of technology, as well as how students may navigate a future of rapid technological change successfully.
Dr Betty Chan Po-king, CEO and School Supervisor of YCYW Education Network, gave the opening remarks. Chan emphasised the significance of education in cultivating inquiring minds and compassionate hearts to offer direction for society growth in a period of fast technological innovation. “We consider ourselves as active stewards of our world, rather than living in a bubble. It is our responsibility to protect the environment and others, and it is this mentality that drives our educational efforts “she declares As a result, she sees the marriage of technology and education as an attractive opportunity that aligns with YCYW’s purpose of science and technology alignment.
