Pradhan asserts that there would be no saffronization of education and that other Indian languages are equally important.

Indore: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan disputed claims that the BJP-led government at the Centre is saffronising the education system on Wednesday, saying that the new strategy for the sector, which was introduced in 2020, emphasises teaching in mother language and is also employment-oriented.

Pradhan further stated that all Indian languages, including Hindi, are considered “National Languages” and are given equal weight by the government.
“Is it saffronization to support study in the native tongue spoken and heard by the residents of the country?” Is it saffronization if Indian education policy becomes more employment-oriented? ” he said in response to a query about the National Education Policy 2020. (NEP). Pradhan stated that certain people have their “own views” on the NEP without identifying anyone. The minister stated that the NEP was drafted with input from all sectors of society and that everyone agreed on its content.
