Ukraine-returned MBBS students and their parents protest in Delhi, hoping to get admission to Indian medical schools.

NEW DELHI: After returning from war-torn Ukraine, over 22,000 nationalities, largely students, face an uncertain future. Students and their parents who had returned from Ukraine gathered at Jantar Mantar today, April 17, to seek admission to Indian colleges to finish their studies. “Students who have returned from Ukraine congregate at Jantar Mantar with their parents, requesting admission to Indian colleges for the remainder of their study.” Parents told ANI that the government should “rescue our children’s careers the same way they saved their lives and brought them back from Ukraine.”
According to social media posts, during the demonstration, placards saying “Save Ukraine students’ careers,” “Help all Indian MBBS students from Ukraine,” and “Focus Ukraine MBBS Students are the future of India” were spotted. The All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) recently asked that all educational institutions grant admission to empty seats for students returning from Ukraine.
