The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) today announced the exam schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. Medical aspirants can now check the detailed schedule at the official website — nbe.edu.in, natboard.edu.in.

The schedule that was made public today indicates that the NEET PG 2024 exam will take place on July 7, 2024. August 15, 2024, will be the deadline for determining eligibility to take the NEET PG 2024.

The NMC letter No. N-P018(20)/7/2023-PGMEB-NMC/000587 dated 03.01.2024, which was received after the NBEMS notice dated 09.11.2023, has been superseded. The NEET-PG 2024 examination, which was previously announced to be tentatively held on March 3, 2024, has been rescheduled, according to the official notice.

NeXT (National Exit Test), a nationwide medical examination, is scheduled to launch in 2025 but has been postponed by a year. The exam was originally supposed to start in 2023. The current NEET postgraduate exam will remain in effect until the NExT is operational for postgraduate admissions, in accordance with the new regulations that have replaced the Postgraduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018.

The “Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023,” which were also introduced by the NMC, stipulate that state or central counseling authorities must conduct online rounds of counseling for every seat.

Recently, NMC has also introduced post-doctoral fellowship courses in medical colleges regulated by it to promote research and clinical skill development.
