Graduate Fellowships at the University of Manitoba

In order to honor academic achievement, the Faculty of Graduate Studies awards more than $2 million in University Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) to full-time graduate students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees. Students who have proven to have exceptional intellectual capacity and academic achievement are eligible for it.

Applications are accepted for any graduate program offered by the University of Manitoba, Canada, with the exception of the Master of Business Administration and the Faculty of Medicine. All students are welcome to apply, regardless of citizenship.

To qualify for the award, students must have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0. 

Students must have cleared provisional admission as Master’s or Ph.D. students in a graduate program at the University of Manitoba, or they must have been admitted as full-time students without provision.
