The University of Sheffield is offering 75 competitive international undergraduate merit scholarships, each valued at £10,000 per year, to assist with tuition fees for undergraduate degree programmes that commence in autumn 2024.
Students who are interested can apply at sheffield.ac.uk, the official website. Candidates may apply for the scholarship starting in late autumn 2023 and have until April 22, 2024, at 1 pm. The scholarship recipients will be revealed on May 15, 2024.
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant’s course of study must start at the University of Sheffield in the fall of 2024.
- An offer for a course that must be completed entirely at the University of Sheffield must be given to applicants. All courses for undergraduate degrees are acceptable, with the exception of A200 and A100/A101 for medicine and dentistry, respectively.
- For tuition fee purposes, applicants must be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee.
- Applicants must not be a sponsored student.
- Applicants must enroll in either program year 1 or program year 2 of the University of Sheffield to begin a degree program.
- All MArch programs are not eligible for this or any other undergraduate scholarship because they are regarded as postgraduate taught programs for scholarship purposes.
Candidates should remember that this scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount only, there is no cash alternative.
Candidates must submit examples of their accomplishments that demonstrate excellence and initiative in extracurricular, volunteer, or educational settings in order to be considered for a shortlist. Additionally, the applicant must explain how these accomplishments relate to the University of Sheffield course they are applying for and how it aligns with their long-term goals. Additionally, the candidate needs to have a solid academic background.
